The Founding Story
JeevanSeva didn’t start as an NGO. It started as a hard question about how disconnected we actually are from one another.
We know a lot of people — friends, family, colleagues, neighbours. We have their numbers saved, we wish them on birthdays, we see their lives online. But ask a brutally simple question: do we know their blood group? For most of us, the honest answer is no.

That gap becomes fatal during emergencies. In critical moments across India, families don’t struggle because blood doesn’t exist. They struggle because the right blood can’t be found in time. Phones are dialled at random. WhatsApp messages are forwarded endlessly. Blood banks hold partial or outdated data. Donors are willing, but unreachable. Everyone wants to help — yet the system breaks under pressure.
The Insight
This contradiction is what gave birth to JeevanSeva. The insight was simple but uncomfortable: modern life is highly connected, yet completely unprepared. We’ve optimized for convenience, not for crises. When minutes matter, memory, contacts, and goodwill are unreliable. What’s missing isn’t emotion or awareness — it’s infrastructure.
JeevanSeva was conceived as that missing layer. Not as a campaign. Not as a charity appeal. But as a system that quietly connects intent to action. Built within VNest Technologies and Platforms Pvt. Ltd., the platform took a "design-for-panic" approach. It focused on verified data, real-time matching, and removing friction — because in emergencies, complexity costs lives.
Evolution into a Foundation
Over time, something became clear. The problem JeevanSeva was addressing wasn’t just technical — it was societal. Saving lives required not only software, but sustained trust, volunteer participation, institutional collaboration, and long-term governance. A purely digital initiative needed a human anchor.
That realization led to the formation of Sarv JeevanSeva Foundation — JeevanSeva’s registered NGO arm. The foundation is registered under Section 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, enabling tax-exempt contributions. The foundation exists to take the mission forward beyond code. It formalises outreach, partnerships, volunteer networks, and on-ground initiatives, while JeevanSeva continues to act as the digital backbone. Together, they form a single ecosystem — one that respects both structure and empathy.
JeevanSeva and Sarv JeevanSeva Foundation exist for one reason: so that in life-and-death moments, help doesn’t depend on luck, memory, or social reach — but on readiness.
Because knowing many people is easy. Knowing who can save a life, at the right time — that requires intent, structure, and responsibility.
