Acupuncture is great for pain relief, but it involves piercing the skin, which is a potential entry point for Hepatitis/HIV.

Licensed vs Unlicensed

If your acupuncturist is a licensed medical practitioner using sterile, single-use disposable needles: No Waiting Period.

If you are unsure, or if it was done at a spa/unlicensed center: You must wait 12 months. We simply cannot take the risk of a dirty needle.
