The Free "Mini-Physical" You Get Every Time
One of the unsung perks of blood donation is the health screening. Before every donation, a medical professional checks your vitals. This "mini-physical" can often detect silent issues.
What We Check (Free of Cost)
- Hemoglobin (Hb): Detects Anemia (Iron deficiency).
- Blood Pressure: Identifies undiagnosed Hypertension or Hypotension.
- Pulse Rate: Checks for irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia).
- Temperature: Detects underlying infections.
Post-Donation Lab Tests
After your blood is collected, it goes to the lab for rigorous testing (often worth thousands of rupees):
- Hepatitis B & C
- HIV I & II
- Syphilis
- Malaria
If any test comes back positive, we notify you confidentially and discard the blood. This early detection can be life-saving for the donor too.
