Myth Buster: Does Donation Make You Weak?

Myth Buster: "Donation Makes Me Weak"

We hear this daily: "I have office work," or "I play sports, I can't be weak." Let's look at the biology.

Fluid vs. Cells

  • Fluid Loss: You donate 350-450ml of fluid. Your body replaces this volume within 24 to 48 hours if you drink water. You won't feel "drained" after a day.
  • Cell Loss: Red blood cells take 4-6 weeks to replace. This affects peak athletic performance (like marathon running) but has zero impact on daily office work, walking, or driving.

You can walk out of the center and go straight to a movie. Weakness is mostly psychological or due to dehydration. Drink up!
