Sexually Transmitted Infections are a sensitive topic, but honesty saves lives.
The 12-Month Rule
If you have been treated for Syphilis or Gonorrhea, you must wait 12 months after completing treatment.
Testing
We screen *every* unit for Syphilis (VDRL test). However, don't use blood donation as a free STD test! If you suspect you have an infection, go to a clinic. Donating could put a recipient at risk during the window period.
