Vangaon: On May 14, 2026, a grand blood donation camp was organized at Satyendra Smarak Hall, Vangaon (West) to celebrate the 89th birthday of former Sarpanch Shri Pratapbhai Thakur. The social initiative was organized jointly by Sarva JeevanSeva Foundation and Vangaon Gram Panchayat, drawing enthusiastic participation from the local community.
Key Dignitaries in Attendance
Several local leaders and dignitaries graced the event, including Shri Surendra Anna Patil, Shri Brijeshbhai Thakur, Shri Milind Patil, Dr. Krupesh Babarekar, Dr. Prashant Patil, Shri Anandbhai Thakur, and Shri Satyendra Raul. They emphasized the life-saving impact of voluntary blood donation and commended the foundation's healthcare initiatives.
Flawless Organization and Support
Government blood banks from Palghar and Jawhar supported the drive. Dedicated arrangements were put in place to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all donors. Yash Patil (founder and director of Sarva JeevanSeva Foundation), Akshay Patil (co-director), Shubham Kamble (secretary), Riddhi Mhatre, and Aditya Kini coordinated the drive.

Several socially conscious citizens contributed financially to support the drive's setup, including Mrs. Amruta Anant Patil (₹7,000), Shri Hemant Kashinath Patil (₹5,000), Shri Satyendra Raul (₹3,000), Shri Surendra Patil (₹3,000), and Shri Kishore Desale (₹1,000).
22 Units of Blood Collected
The camp concluded with the successful collection of 22 units of blood. While many young donors showed up, some could not donate due to medical criteria like blood pressure and hemoglobin. Their noble intent was highly appreciated by the organizers.
